    New Class: Taoist (Disciple of Magic)

    Hello, so as we know eventually we are getting a new expansion pack, and Square Enix said they would like to introduce a new tank and healer class, so that got me thinking of a good setup for these type of classes. The expansion could take place in an Asian type continent and it could include a Ronin which is a tank that uses great katanas which would unlock the samurai job, and the Taoist which is a keeper of the balance and they focus on the elements of yin (Darkness) & yang (Light) which would unlock the dancer job. My suggestion is on the Taoist because they use mechanics that have never been used in any other Final Fantasy.

    Taoist

    (Discipline of Magic) (Weapon: Flabellum) (Role: Healer) (Job: Dancer)

    Base Class Spells

    Level 1:Scourge: Deals darkness damage with a potency of 140 and inflicts blind for 10 seconds.

    Level 2:Chakra: Restores target’s HP with a potency of 200. Usable under Effusions and Dances.

    Level 4:Banish: Deals holy damage with a potency of 50 and inflicts holy damage overtime with a potency of 25 for 18 seconds.

    Level 6:Expel Harm: Restores 10% of your HP, and the amount of HP recovered also causes damage to the enemy.

    Level 8:Shell: Increases the magical defense of all party members within radius of the target for 30 minutes.

    Level 10:Effusion: Channels a wave of energy restoring the target’s HP over the next 12 seconds each tick has a potency of 150.

    Level 12:Samsara: Resurrects target to a weakened state. Cannot be used when in combat.

    Level 15:Karma: Creates a wave that bounces between friend and foe, causes damage to enemies, and heals allies. Cannot be used outside of combat. 4 bounces

    Level 18: Detox: Removes a single detrimental effect from target. Usable under Effusions and Dances.

    Level 22:Scourge II: Deals darkness damage with a potency of 170.

    Level 26:Junction: Connects your Effusion wave with the 2 nearest people. Can only be used with Effusions

    Level 30:Chakra II: Restores target’s HP with a potency of 400. Usable under Effusions and Dances

    Level 34:Blink: Creates three images around target that absorbs the enemy next attacks. Status lasts for 30 minutes, or until the images are absorbed. (50% chance of absorbing attack)

    Level 38:Zen Mediation: Puts you in a trance recovering MP and HP for the next 15 seconds. Effect cannot be cancelled manually, and you receive the effect of sleep.

    Level 42:Effusion II: Channels a wave of energy restoring the target’s HP over the next 12 seconds each tick has a potency of 250.

    Level 46:Banish II: Deals holy damage with a potency of 50 and inflicts holy damage overtime with a potency of 40 for 12 seconds.

    Level 50:Sacrifice: Sacrifice your life to revive an ally can only be used during combat. The HP, MP, and TP valves are transferred from the caster to the revived player.

    Level 8:Enhanced Mind: Increases mind by 2.

    Level 14:Enhanced Mind II: Increases mind by 4.

    Level 16:One for all: Increases the magic effect from shell, and reflects 10% of magical damage done to you back to the enemy.

    Level 20:Yang Teachings: Increases the healing effect of your Charka when used without effusions or dances to Chakra: 400 potency and Chakra II: 650 potency.

    Level 24:Enhanced Mind III: Increases mind by 6.

    Level 28:Yin Teachings: Increases the damage of your damage dealing spells and effects by 15%

    Level 32:Goddess Hymn: Increases your defense and magic defense against area of effect attacks by 50%.

    Level 36:Enhanced Blink: Gives your Blink an extra image.

    Level 40:Healing Surge: Whenever the target of your Effusion HP goes below 10% the potency of your effusion is increased by 100.

    Level 44:Enhanced Karma: Increases the bounces of Karma to 8.

    Level 48:Enhanced Expel Harm: Expel Harm now transfers one debuff from you onto your enemy.

    (Role: Healer) (TAO30 + ROE 15)

    Level 30:Maiden of the Battlefield: When auto attacking, gives the target with the lowest HP a regen effect that heals for the same amount as your attacks.

    Level 35: Drain Samba: Infuses your weapon with an effect that when you attack the enemy it inflicts them with a debuff that allows people that attack the enemy to heal HP per hit. (The effect has to be maintained by continuously hitting the enemy.)

    Level 40:Aspir Samba: Infuses your weapon with an effect that when you attack the enemy it inflicts them with a debuff that allows people that attack the enemy to heal MP per hit. (The effect has to be maintained by continuously hitting the enemy.)

    Level 45:Curing Waltz: You perform a dance that heals all allies overtime 12 seconds. The effect ends when you stop dancing, and you cannot move while dancing or the effect will be cancelled. (Spells like Chakra can be used; however, you cannot use Effusion)

    Level 50:Trance: You perform a dance that gives the effect of haste to all allies, and slow to all enemies for the next 12 seconds. The effect ends when you stop dancing, and you cannot move while dancing or the effect will be cancelled. (Spells like Chakra can be used; however, you cannot use Effusion.)

    Additional Notes About the Class & Job

    1.) The Weapon of used by the Taoist and Dancer is the handfan which is also known as the flabellum.
    2.) The Class is unique because it uses channeled heals, which is somewhat similar to the playstyle of the Monk from World Of Warcraft and similar saint type classes.
    3.) Chakra and Detox do not require Effusion to be in effect; however, the benefit of these spells is that they can be used under the channeled effect of Effusion.
    4.) Sacrifice is the battle raise of this class; however, its not as good as the battle raise of White Mage because you basically sacrifice yourself.
    5.) Junction is similar to a chain heal or an AOE heal which is the only way to heal the entire group until you unlock the dancer job.
    6.) Karma is similar to chi wave from Monk in WOW; however, the effect ends when combat ends and it cannot be used outside of combat.
    7.) Yang teachings (Trait) is meant to make your chakras as good as cure if you decide not to use your channeled heals; however, the main benefits of the class is the channeled heals.
    8.) Goddess Hymn (Trait) was added because since dancers are frontline healers and they will be more at risk of taking damage from AOE; however, dancers can use all the skills that Taoist can so they don't have to worry if they want to stay in the backlines.
