Something i've found really useful when i'm doing 8-mans is having a macro set up with my Raise , is adding a line to tell the other healer who i'm raising. Stops 2 healers wasting swiftcast on the same person.
So off the top of my head:
/ac Raise <t>
/p "Now swift-raising" <t>
or something like that.
To be honest, if it's a truly oh-shit moment where every micro second count, I think pressing these skills myself would be better than relying on an "oh-shit" macro.
But each to his own I guess .
We just had this thread.

Don't listen to everyone that says WHM don't need macros. No job needs macros but they make WHM so much easier. Without macros you can't do <mo> (mouse over) targeting. You can't do smart DD actions with <tt> (target of target).
There are various reasons to use macros as a WHM and very few reasons to not use them. Since the only reason to not use them is you can't queue abilities but I seldom find myself having to cure that quickly as a WHM (or SCH)
I like to use:
/micon "Fluid Aura"
/enemysign Bind1 <t>
/ac "Fluid Aura" <t>
/ac "Repose" <t>
Spam that one so both actions go off without the need for a /wait. If you're out of range it'll just sleep the target.
I also use:
/micon "Swiftcast"
/ac "Swiftcast" <me>
/ac "Resurrection" <mo>
/ac "Raise" <mo>
/ac "Resurrection" <t>
/ac "Raise" <t>
Since you're on PS4 the <mo> probably doesn't apply (mouseover). Delete those lines. I have both spells there so that I can use the one macro on SCH/SMN/WHM. Spam it so you don't have to put a /wait in there.
As a note in case you don't know it: If you have an ability in a macro, you do not have to place it on your bar to use. As long as the ability is your base class/job ability or one that you have assigned to a cross-class slot it will work in a macro. So with those 2 macro's you don't have to set Fluid Aura, Repose, Raise and Swiftcast and can instead just place the 2 macros on your bar.
My raise macro:
/macroicon "Raise"
/ac "Swiftcast"
/ac "Raise" <t> (That's a "T" for target, not a "1")
/ac "Raise" <2>
/ac "Raise" <3>
/ac "Raise" <4>
/ac "Raise" <5>
/ac "Raise" <6>
/ac "Raise" <7>
/ac "Raise" <8>
Works for light AND full parties.
You see someone dead in your party? No need to click on him, just mash the button until Raise is cast. I think this is the fastest you can do.
Priority is selected target first, but if you didn't select a target it just raises the "first" person in party list that is down. So if a healer and a DD are down, it will first raise the healer if you didn't target the DD since he will be the lower party member number if you didn't manually sort your party list.
(It tries to cast swiftcast the first time you press the button, or else starts casting Raise. You mash the button to ensure that you cast Raise if swiftcast was ready before. The big advantage is you don't need to target the dead one)
There is a big problem with this macro: if multiple people are dead, it's a tossup who you actually raise depending on how much you mash. MNK macros that included the Opo-opo form move would occasionally just use it when Coeurl or Raptor were available. When you mash a button like this, the line that actually procs can vary.
If you only have one person down, it's fine.
XI: Zeroblade, Titan Server
I have all my single target supportive skills macro'd as:
/micon "Cure"
/ac "Cure" <target>
This is to prevent healing yourself when you somehow accidentally lose target of who you want to heal. It saves a bunch of mana and it's really really nice when it comes to instant cast spells such as Benediction, Regen, and (really fast casting spells) Esuna.
