can people who actually take the time to read this agree with me? and support that the repair market is now at a fixed price?

I (as snobby as it sounds) will not repair grade 5 material for 1k. thats money out of my pocket so you can make your own.. sorry, i dont know you, im not that nice :P

I agree. I used to repair items for free. I had lots of fent, so why not? Not sure if I can make dark matter as a weaver,but Grade 4 and 5 Dark matter is a lot, so yeah I can't repair other people's gear. I am poor compared to other.

I am keeping stacks of dark matter and will repair people for free as long as they provide the repair mat as the reward. Otherwise, I will expect not only the cost of the dark matter but tip as well to account for my time spent restocking my repair mat supplies.

Through gathering you can pretty easily get self-supported on dark matter. The drop rate is around 1-2 per hour on steady gathering. I have the feeling that it drops a tad more often on gathering leves. Ofc you would need to do loads of gathering to sustain cheaper repairs for other ppl, but at least for you own stuff this is a viable way.

What's worse, since the switch to dark matter, people (at least on Fabul) seem to be CHEAPER with their rewards offers. When a repair only cost me a fent, I would still see 5k+ rewards... now that repairs cost something, they are mostly 2k-.... what gives?!

I don't repair without a dark matter reward, or cost+tip now.

I offer 1k per the grade of dark matter required for repairs... and usually throw in a bottle of Orange Juice as a pick-me-up.

Woah. I do 1000 x Grade #. So if I want Grade 4 repaired, I offer 4k gil. Seems I'm ripping myself off here lol.
