Shield Reward

Hey all. Are they're any quests that give you a shield as a reward. Not talking about levequests but side quests.

lol I funny 128 views sorry this makes 129 and no one knows. I guess these quests are still too new for shield rewards. Here's hoping 1.18 adds some proper shield rewards

Nop man, nor shield or weapons come from quests...only meds, armor, throwing weapons and ammo.

Aren't there any faction leves that have one as a reward? Tarnished hoplon or something like that. I can't remember for sure.

Money is beside the point obviously lol. Its more of something to do. Self Goal if you will. I'll check into that faction quest. I havent done factions in a while.

Some faction leves do indeed give equipment such as shields, though building up the faction points can be a pain, so I'd save them to the point of only using them if the rewards are kick-ass during that guildleve cycle.

Since you're r36, you can also consider getting into a party and killing some of the low level NMs that drop shields. Gluttonous Gertrude drops Shield of the Savage, and Slippery Sikes drops Thalassian Targe.

I can also confirm that some of the faction leves give shields as rewards, but they're usually the "Dented" type that need upgrading to Vintage (like the Notched Buckler).

Finally someone gets it! But thanks dude. I'm logging back in today after a month long hiatus. Get myself reacquainted with the world and ready for hopefully new shield quests with the update lol If not I'll go for some dented equips for a later upgrade.

One of the faction leves gives tarnished hoplon which is upgraded to vintage hoplon. Can't remember the name though.

Edit: oops I was mistaken. It is a level 40 faction leve that gives a shield that is upgraded to a lvl 50 Vintage Kite Shield. Very nice indeed.
