Please make extreme mounts buyable for Rowena's Tokens / Mirrors

I really wish they would make the extreme mounts be buyable for like, 6-9 rowena tokens or something. Would give players a reason to keep doing the extreme primals at least once a week still. I have yet to see any mount drop off any of the extremes, I've lost count of how many runs.

The players who did their weekly extreme quests and farmed all weapons in 2.1 have no reason to run the old extremes (Garuda, Titan and Ifrit) weekly anymore. This could be changed by making their mounts (Nightmare Whistle, Xanthos Whistle, Gullfaxli Whistle and Aithon Whistle) buyable with the repeatable quest rewards: Rowena's Tokens. Please make this happen!

Similarly, Enbarr Whistle could be buyable with several Mirrors of the Whorl.

I completely agree with this. Except for mirrors being used for Levi mount. It Would be terrible to see people rolling on those for a pony when they offer BiS for a number of classes.

I disagree sorry. Please leave the mounts as rare items, it's the only thing that makes me (and I know the same applies to other people) run Extreme Primals anymore.
One thing I would change is to stop people from rolling on them if they already possess the whistle in question but otherwise, I don't want to see a carebear wonderland of different coloured mounts. Keep them rare please!

PS. you have more people in your FC than I have in mine, all you have to do is static party farming for those mounts if you really want one. Rolling a 90+ in duty finder is tough. I've lost on Nightmare whistle 3 times now with some pathetic low rolls. But just seeing it drop makes me want to run again. We barely have 8 active players yet we still set up Levi farms for mirrors and mounts.
Once you get one with some nice RNG I'm guessing you will change your mind about wanting them to be obtainable with tokens.

I understand your point of view. However, I myself am not motivated to run these primals at all (other than learning runs for FC members) with the current RNG system and I feel forming a static for them would just be a waste of everyones time because we can't guarantee everyone would get their mounts. But then you'd have your mount and you'd stop running Extreme Primals I'm guessing. If everyone did that then no one would run them at all anymore.

They'd just have to make the token cost big enough to keep people running it for a while. And only receiving tokens once a week would already add to the longevity of the fights.

Edit: I personally don't know anyone who runs these fights for the mounts. Most people seem to farm the weapons they need (or all of them) and then stop, like I did. I could be wrong of course, as this is based only on my personal experience. But I do know I haven't run these fights (for other purpose than teaching FC members) since I got all my weapons during last patch and making the mounts buyable with tokens would make me run them again, every week.

I like this idea, I was a bit stunned when they made the EX primals just about irrelevant with 2.2. I know players who are levelling up can buy these weapons before getting their Wave/T5 weapons, and they are useful for alternate jobs. However, the reality is that I can now farm a better weapon for other jobs in T5/Levi Ex, with not much more difficulty.As mentioned, the drop rate for mounts is simply not enough to be able to reliably farm one.

I agree that the cost would have to be quite high (hopefully not too damn high!). Maybe 30 tokens per mount or something to that effect?

I completely agree with the idea to make those mounts buyable. RNG is just a bad way to reward people.
Why?
Simple: it tends to reward not the ones who patiently and relentlessly try to get their raison d'etre (which is Enbarr in my case since I've seen it once). No, it tends to reward people who used the Duty Roulette to "see how that one fight is", play the worst of all and roll a 99.

And to people who come with the standard answer "Welcome to the world of MMO's": I'm playing MMORPG's for 13 years now. I've played more then 25 MMO's. I know how other MMO's handle this stuff.
And not a single one was as "bad" as this regarding RNG.
RNG works, but it badly needs a failsafe. You could be the best player in the whole world with only one goal: a primal mount. And still never even see it - or see it a hundred times in one year and always fail the roll against the other 7. It's not a fair system.

It would be so easy to find working alternatives. The idea in the first topic is perfect for this because it creates a way of "feeling of progression". Those tomestone rewards at extreme primals are equal to getting nothing at all . The only thing one really can get from this is the achievement for the first successful run and then the drops. By also dropping some kind of currency (Rowena tokens) this would feel much less like a "total waste of time" as it currently does.

Isn't there some achievement/reward for tanking EX primals like 500 times or somesuch? Changing the mounts from a drop/roll thing to a flat reward for beating the corresponding primal x number of times would solve your frustration, while keeping people playing the primals.
