Just logged in, played for a few mins and now randomly my Hotbars are all jumbled up. >.<
Happened to me too. So annoying!
Yea my HUD layout had completely reset..
Ya know, this has been happening to me for the past 2 months now. And it's just the Duty/Quest list. I have it nice and even next to the my vertical hot bar on the right side, under the map and such, save, log off, come back and the duty list has moved either up or down and sometimes to the left. It's annoying to keep adjusting it every time I log in. I play on the PC btw. Dunno why as that is the only thing that seems to move.
I don't mean the hotbars themselves have moved, but the skills, potions, macro's etc etc got all jumbled.
This happened to me too. Some of my Black Mage hotbar skills were replaced with my Bard macros.
As for the Duty list thing, I also had this for the longest time. I would keep moving the Duty list up and save it. The next time I logged in, it would reset to its original position. Suddenly one day, it just stuck and I no longer have to touch it.
I notice this happen to me yesterday, too. I logged in and some of my macros from my other jobs (Tomahawk/Provoke, Cover, and Blunt Arrow to be specific) had placed themselves on my bars, overwriting what was normally there for my SCH (and this seemed to only affect my SCH, no other job's bars were changed).
Happened to me as well. Must be a bug. I noticed this happened after I created a new job slot. Then my blm ended up with a bunch of crafting and sch macros. I didnt realize it until half way through a hydra fight when my flare gave me an error about succor.
Hello, everyone.
The following is a comment from UI lead Hiroshi Minagawa in regards to the current known issue with the hotbar and cross hotbar display.
I’d like to explain a bit more in detail about the hotbar display bug on behalf of the lead.
- Issue
When having macros registered to the hotbar that are not associated with your class and certain operations are performed, there are cases where the display of your current class hotbar will be modified.
We’ve confirmed the following operations will cause this issue:
- Creating or deleting gear sets
- Changing or updating gear sets
By performing the above, trouble arises with the hotbar display. The hotbar saved data is not corrupted, however, and only the display is being changed.
Besides these cases, there have also been reports of this occurring while in certain content, but we have not yet been able to identify the issue. The development team is continuing to investigate based on all the information we have been receiving.
- Method to deal with this issue
It’s possible to eliminate the hotbar icon display issue by performing the following:
- From the Character Configuration, under “Hotbar Settings” turn the shared feature from on to off or from off to on, and then press apply and the display should be restored. After this, toggle the setting once more and you’ll be able to use your original settings.
- Change your main weapon or gear set, and change your class.
- Log out and then log back in.
For the cases where this issue occurs within content, as it is not possible to change classes another method is necessary to deal with this; however, as the development team has yet to confirm the cause of this we will make an announcement once we confirm the situation and look into how to address it.
- Plans to fix the issue
We’ve received word that the cause of this issue is the expanded support for the “/micon” macro, and we’re currently investigating what will be affected by fixing the bug. There is a high possibility that a client-side patch will be necessary, and once we confirm the release date for this we’ll make an announcement.
I just wanted to give you the latest report from the development-side on this situation.
I apologize for any inconveniences this has caused.
