The Black Chocobo...

Am I the only one who thinks they should've made the black chocobo's wings a little more majestic?

I mean, it is a breed trained to fly, I think it would be fair for it to have some morphologic traits that made it more fitting for flight than ordinary chocobos do. Yet even from the video I can tell its wings and tailfeathers are shorter than the Draught Chocobo's.

Perhaps I'm being picky because I train horses IRL, but I'd not pick a short-legged breed for competitive jumping <_<

They actually said that we will be able to fly with our GC chocobos after doing a quest in Heavensward.

All the more a reason to make this chocobo a little more interesting, I thought. In terms of look, it really offers nothing new. I think it would've looked cool with wings the same size as the gryphon.

Yeah, if they didn't want to ruin the way they look when they are on the ground, they could have added a secondary wing that folds under the outer wing that comes out when they need to get off the ground or something. In that picture, it looks ridiculous.

Honestly, I'm pretty sure all the black chocobo's will be are just Heavensward versions of carrier chocobos, or whatever they are called. The chocobos you can pay an npc to take you on a predetermined route.

Same thing, only these ones fly.

Heck there isn't even a good reason why we would need yet ANOTHER chocobo mount if they are going to make our own personal chocobos companions capable of flight.

Chocobo Porters, and yes they are. You can even see they wear the same hats as the Chocobo Porters currently in-game.
