I run a small social community called Potion that exists both as a cross-free company linkshell (Potion LS) and a free company (Potion FC). This fun and friendly community is founded on the following three philosophies:

Hi there, Merle!

I was just coming to the forums to ask about a social linkshell on our server. I'm looking for a group that is more community-minded as I'm a casual player and not a raider. It seems everywhere I look, folks are only talking about Coil and Turns and static raids.

I'm not against raiding, but I'm looking to find a place that has conversation beyond just the end game, loves to help newcomers (because without new people, community can't grow), runs all types of content (story included), and wants to foster a fun time for everyone. I'm looking to meet friends and find community spirit.

Though I am currently in a FC (and it's a bunch of great folks and gamers -- but again, mostly raid-minded), I'd be willing to support a new FC that offers this environment and playstyle. I'd love to try out your linkshell, if nothing else, to see if it's a good fit for me.

I won't be home for some hours, but I'd love to get in touch with you!

I just wanted to return to this thread to update -- I was on the search for a social, casual LS last week. I am so happy that I found Potion!

It's a small but growing group, and everyone has been just lovely to chat with! If you're looking for a pleasant social atmosphere, or just to take some time to kick back and slow down, I recommend these folks highly. If the linkshell is any sign of what the FC will be like eventually, also give it a look if social and casual is what you're seeking.

For anyone looking for a casual group of mature and sociable players on Midgardsormr, I highly recommend the Potion linkshell and free company. My wife and I joined a few weeks ago after seeing Merle's post on these forums, and we're very glad we did. Though my wife and I are not new to MMOs, we are new to FFXIV, and the members of Potion have done a great job helping us get our bearings in this new world. The Potion free company is still quite small, so now is a great time to join and be part of a growing group with what looks to be a great future ahead of it. We're already running dungeons together and helping each other with quests. New and experienced players alike are welcome. Come join a great group of people!
