summoner class is a disgrace as of now I'm level 37 going as Arcanist because I do more damage then the advance so called summoner class even with the so called ifrit and titan they want us to to believe they are avatars from final fantasy series lol



ifrit is like a staff you can hold and say lol

All the summoners pet look more like beastmen pet in final fantasy xi.

Titan is like pail of rock molding together the developers didn't have time, So this is the end result of a crappy so called Egi base on a crappy idea.

As of now they are DoT mages lol I would rather play the the elder scroll and summon minions :P

Hmm what? I don't mind you having a preference to having larger egi's or what not since that is personal taste but other than more abilities this is wrong.

You do realize that at level 37 you lose fester if you go base arcanist? As well as about 10-20 potency off of every attack for your summons? For what exactly? Aero? Blood for Blood? Those abilities aren't worth having compared to 300 potency off of GCD every 20 seconds and stronger egi's. Edit: 300 potency every 30 seconds at your level, in 3 more levels it's 300 potency every 20 seconds.

Also think about it this way, at level 50 you get 10 cross class skills and no job skills with arcanist. At level 50 summoner you get 5 job skills and 5 cross class skills. So you end up with the same amount of abilities anyway even if you have lower now. The abilities you do gain as a summoner make the damage gap between a summoner and arcanist even larger. (Fester, Spur and to a lesser extent Enkindle).

The game does justify in the summoner's quests as to why the egi's are different to the primals, incidently why the look different to other games. The primals themselves are akin to their summon counterparts in other games so I don't see the issue. This is why I say the egi's being like their summons are a personal preference. I like ifirt-egi and garuda-egi personally, titan-egi really needs to drop the chicken nugget motif.

Also the proportionate parts of your rotation that are DoT based don't change from becoming a summoner, you don't actually gain any new dots as a summoner at all unless you include the DoT portion of Enkindle for ifirt. The job only increases direct damage for you and your summons. I will admit that fester damage is based on your DoTs but isn't a DoT itself. Spur increases direct damage of your egi. Tri-disaster is a bind, Enkindle is a direct damage attack for the most part that applies only to your egi. You also get ifirt as a pet from your abilities. So really, saying that it gets better for DoTs as a summoner is just wrong as well. You get more direct damage to compliment the DoTs you gain as arcanist. A Scholar has MORE DoTs than a summoner, you realise right?

I say if a summoner wants their summon to look exactly like Ifrit, Titan, Garuda, etc, as soon as they are summoned, they should loose all their crystals, shards, and clusters, that is the price of summoning them, and the player should be classified as beastmen sympathetic and free to kill by any all players that come across them.

I want my avatar egi look just like final fantasy 10 lol since they are better and can control the dam avatars just I have the graphic card Radeon HD 7970 i would want to see more detail regarding them, but then again they should keep an option for those that have shitty graphic card also lol stick to what they got at the moment.

Stick the DoT to sch/blm/rdm/etc summoners don't need the pile of shit let us control our summoner egi avatars


Summoner is a job for freaking summoning avatars the job name say so.
