now that you guys talk about repair

Would you like if you could repair all the gear like you normally do, just this time with one DoH as long as you have the Class and level required to repair x piece gear instead of having to switch to the class required each time for each piece?
right now you need to switch to GSM to repair jewelry, LTH to repair boots or belt and so on..., and with the easy that clothes get weary it starts to get tedious, therefore, making you want to sink 20k gil each day just on repairs using the mender to save some work.

huh, doesnt seems to bad for me.. @_@ did u repair only via armoury chest or using the repair button in action/trait (and dragging it to hotbar)

here what i did to make repairing SO much faster/easier

i drag the Repair button from Action & Trait to my cross bar (I use controller on PC)

when you click on it it will pop out a window and list all the items that you can repair on your current class,

WITH how easy it is to change equipment, i dont see how is a hassle, click on class to repair, click on repair > Repair all .

what so hard about it? for a measely few seconds of your life.

with game pad i select the piece then select repair, sometimes convert by mistake, even so. still have to switch to each class in order to repair the gear, we already can share some skills so why can't we share the knowledge in repairing stuff.

Using "Repair All" isn't saving you any money though. With how much Dark Matter costs you are only saving money if you wait for equipment pieces to get to 20-40% before using a Dark Matter on it. "Repair All" repairs gear that has barely been scratched yet. In the end you are spending more gil on Dark Matter then if you just went to a repair npc instead. The whole self-repair + dark matter system needs a rework to be honest.

    fixed it a bit
at 60% it cost the same as the mender npc.
But yes, i also repair not all, but only the gears that need it.
But if you go to the mender NPC then you spend more gil on it.
sure, the mender npc is cheaper if you repair it at 90%. But it is faster back from 100% to 90% than from 100% to 50%. you start to repair more often.

My fellow strangers, you indeed point something that is of quite importance going back to the start of the problem.

    Would I rather;
    1. On Scholar
    2. Switch to Alchemist.
    3. Hit repair.
    4. Select Main Hand/Off Hand.
    5. Repair book.
    6. Switch to Weaver.
    7. Hit repair.
    8. Select Head/Body/Hands.
    9. Repair Head/Body.
    10. Select Waist/Legs/Feet.
    11. Repair Legs.
    12. Switch to Leatherworker.
    13. Hit repair.
    14. Select Head/Body/Hands.
    15. Repair Hands.
    16. Select Waist/Legs/Feet.
    17. Repair Waist/Feet.
    18. Switch to Goldsmithing.
    19. Hit repair.
    20. Select Neck/Ears.
    21. Repair Neck/Ears.
    22. Select Wrists/Rings.
    23. Repair Wrists/Rings.
    24. Switch to Scholar.
    25. Wait for Recasts.
    26. Resummon Fairy.
    27. Reuse Aetherflow.
    28. Done.
    Or would I rather;
    1. Obtain Grade 5 Dark Matter.
    2. On Scholar, possibly in a dungeon.
    3. Open Character Menu.
    4. Select Repair all (Or select individual gear I'm wearing to repair).
    5. Have all the gear I have the necessary crafts for repaired there and then.
    6. Done.

    Tough choice.

Still, I'm glad some people don't find the previous option to be a pointless amount of tedium. To those people I say; welcome, welcome to the world, where different people have different tolerances to utter inane steps in what should be a simple process.

That's actually a very detailed step by step of the self repair system right now compared to 1 button repair everything at insane price which mender offer, and i don't see 1 mender for each type of gear neither do people need to level DoH to use him, so why more trouble for those who did level DoH, we already have to sell crafted items very cheap compared to the time you need to make them, go farm apkallu eggs then craft them into hq items just to get small profit and that's just 1 material.

while i think SE will never consider your suggestion of repairing on a fighting class inside a dungeon i do think that they should consider being able to repair every piece of gear just by being on one DoH as long as you have the others on the level required and maybe also make the repair all button work with a trigger like repair all the gear that is under 60% durability.
