Housig Ward Needs Repair/Mender NPC's Please!

The addition of market boards and more summoning bells is making the housing ward a viable place to hang out finally! Previously, I had no reason to ever be there after dropping millions of gil into a (relatively useless, thus far) FC house.

Now, it's a great place to craft! Far from gil sellers and congestion, quiet, beautiful... Save for one thing:

WHEN MY GEAR BREAKS

Having to tele back to town just to repair my gear means... I may as well just stay in town :/

Can we please add some menders to the housing wards?

Seconded. Having to teleport back to town to get my crafting gear repaired isn't a huge deal-breaker, I usually just need to remember to get it done en-route to gather my daily map, but it does feel like an odd oversight.

I totally agree, we recently purchased a house and we've been doing so many furnitures... and when it came to repair, we were growling that we had to go back to Gridania for repairs. :E

there is a mender right outside the entrance to Lavender Beds, so returning to Gridania is not required.
It is odd they have it there instead of inside though

As we mentioned previously, we are still on track to add a repair NPC that you can hire and place in your house in patch 2.2.

The team is also looking into NPCs that will supply tools as well as ingredients. These NPCs can be placed around your house however you like in the same fashion that you arrange your furnishings.

Wouldn't that allow people the ability to not repair gear for those who they didn't like or even on a larger scale, have the community shun people they didn't like?

Are you kidding? Getting repairs done in 1.x for other people was great, and I never did this. The only people I didn't do repairs for were people who were putting up repairs for 1 gil.

Standing in Ul'dah with repairs requested for a reasonable amount wouldn't take longer than a minute or two in my experience. As a crafter, I'd run around looking for people to repair the gear of, and it was tricky to find someone who hadn't already been sorted! So, based on that, I'd say that there was no global shunning at all.
