Someone call Petyr Winsome! The Lominsan aetheryte plaza was badly built!

Hello fellow Lominsans! I noticed something today that was quite shocking. Limsa Lominsa, a bastion of building and a wonder unto itself, suffered from the calamity in more ways than one! Upon the loss of her original Aetheryte plaza, the new plaza was placed on the lower deck. The plaza is a raised circular platform surrounded on two sides by stairs, and having four aesthetically pleasing stone fixtures capped with the finest available steelwork.

Except for one of them!

Kindly notice the NW monument, to the left in this image:


Whereas the other three are placed inwards, with their inward-most section sitting within the platform, the northwestern fixture is scooted back a ways!

Clearly, someone in Limsa's contracting department needs to be fired, or to have their grog rations cut in half. A flogging is in order!

To be honest, a shellmate tipped me off.

It's embarrassing because he's a Gridania native, whereas I have brine for blood. Not sure how I never noticed it ><

Somewhere, a Limsan apprentice stonemason is being punished by his master for that blunder.

Haha, I guess it's easily done - whoever the artist was that modelled the aethertye plaza might have just missed that error due to be under stress (there's a few other minor CG design errors throughout the game, like the infamous 'floating bottle' in Pearl Lane in Ul'dah, and the book buried in the mantlepiece at the Inn in the Observatorium in Coerthas.).

I can't see it. Must be too tired to notice it. What am I looking for exactly? Could you circle it?

It took me a second to notice, as well. The platform has an outer ring of bricks, three steps up, and an inner ring of bricks. Three of the four fixtures start on the bottom step and end on the inner ring. The fourth one starts on the outer ring and ends on the third step. On the three that match, you can see that the metallic part of the fixture has lips that jut an equal distance into the outer ring and past the inner ring. The other fixture starts a step too low and actually clips into the top one. An easy mistake to make - even easier to miss.

I've highlighted (highlit?) it here. Bottom left fixture in the image. On the map it's the northwestern fixture. Sorry for the confusion.


On the bottom right fixture, you can see how the metal lip of it sits inside the plaza proper, whereas the bottom left one is set back one step.
