Meh just think you got more skillz if you cleared the main story after 1.19 with weaker partner stats lol
At least this fix was needed for new players for sure, I'm done with it long time ago so didn't affect me at all lol

Achievement system info

ただ、今後はまさにその為のシステムとも言える、アチーブメントシステムが実装される訳ですから、
現行のヒストリー機能はあくまでプレイログと割り切るのが妥当なのではないかな、と思います。
Since there is going to be a achievement system, I think the current on-going history feature will simply be play log

ヒストリーは冒険者の皆さん一人一人が歩んできた足跡ですので、アチーブメントが実装されても
削除したり統合したりすることはなく、ヒストリーとして今後も存続します。
Yes for current history feature is basically play log and will not be linked with the achievement system.
History are footsteps each adventurers went through so even after achievement system is implemented we will not delete or merge, history will still remain.

アチーブメントを導入するからには、システム導入時からのヨーイドンで、全員頑張ればやり込みが達成出来るモノにしてほしいです。1.20開始時では既に達成出来ないような要素をアチーブメントに入れないで欲しい、ということです。
I would like the achievement system to be where everyone starts at the same starting point and something which if everyone tries hard they can complete. Hope they don’t put in a achievements which can’t be completed from 1.20 (before 1.20 stuff)

これについてはまさに「システム導入時からのヨーイドンで、全員頑張ればやり込みが達成出来るモノ」になりますのでご安心ください。たとえばこれまでの季節イベントに参加していないからアチーブメントが達成できない、というようなものはありません。
Regarding this one; please don’t worry the achievement system will start when it gets implemented (wont affect old completed stuff). For example all the seasonal event up until now, it doesn’t mean because you didn’t participate you can’t complete the achievement.

ただし、たとえば「第七霊災を完遂した」など、新生までの間にしか達成できないアチーブメントは存在します。
However for example “completed the 7th Umbral Era” or other achievements which can be completed up until 2.0 will exist.

一点だけ補足です。
「季節イベント系アチーブメント」は、そのイベント単体でのアチーブメントもありますが、
「年間すべての季節イベント系アチーブメントを達成」のように、
長期スパンで達成し、大きな報酬を得るものも予定しています。

There are individual achievements for seasonal event types but there are plans for achievements such as “completed all achievements for every seasonal event in the year” which will reward more.

よってパッチ1.20のアチーブメントシステム搭載前の季節イベントは、
これに該当することはありませんが、
今後は「取り逃すとコンプリートできない」アチーブメントも登場します。
その点、季節イベントと第七霊災は、ちょっと特殊なので申し添えておきます。
For that reason for seasonal events prior to 1.20 wont be affected but in future events there will be achievements which “if you miss it you can’t complete”. Seasonal Event and 7th umbral Era is bit special so wanted to mention that.

Yep JP side also saying that, I get the 7th Umbral Era and stuff since it's something only current FFXIV players can experience before 2.0 but for one time only seasonal events dunno if I like it. Was thinking this achievement system was something they putting in to work for the PS3 trophy system but if there are one time only achievements you wont be able to get 100% trophy and reason why I was OK with 7th Umbral Era event since it's before PS3 so was thinking that event wont count in PS3 trophy system. (maybe has nothing related to trophy system in first place...)

Yep. Seems like something that should be limited to the history page, not an actual achievement.

Speaking of achievements, did they say if they'll describe hot to earn the achievement to? Sorta like how Steam does?

Nope I think those will be mentioned once they mention through The Lodestone topics.

Well thats stupid, I would have expected them to reuse the seasonal event stuff, they could at least reuse the name of the achievement, so it doesn't matter when you did it you would get the same achievement even if the event was slightly different.

They may as well get rid of the history as nobody will care about that stuff anymore. (It's even more stupid the two aren't one and the same)
