Statues of the twelve (some) in Beta

現時点では、十二神全てのイラスト化は未定ですが、12神もノフィカとか一部イラスト化されていますが、できれば残りも早めにイラストにして「12神ってこういうイメージなんだよ~」というふうに、ユー ザーに伝えた方がいいと思います。細かい設定とか後回しでいいので、そういう直感的なイメージを早めに公表したら、ユーザーもあれこれ想像が膨らんで楽し いと思います。
Some of the twelve such as Nophica has been illustrated but I think it would be cool if you can illustrate the rest of the twelve for the users. Don't need to have the details about them, just release the image so users can use their imaginations and discuss about it. I think that would be fun.

なお、今後もこういった形で世界設定を感じられるようにお見せしていく予定です
Current we don't have plans to make illustrations for all the twelve however within beta test, we're planning to have some of them in a statue form. So for those of you participating in beta, please look for it.![]()

Compass direction on the minimap.

で回答した、ミニマップの方角について進捗がありましたので、お知らせいたします。
新生版では、ミニマップの方角がキャラクター視線の方向基準に変更できるようになりました。
また、現行版と同様にミニマップの方角を固定することも可能で、これはオプションの設定で自由に切り替えることができます。
βテスト開始時の段階から、こちらの機能は利用することが可能ですので、
βテスター当選のあかつきには、ぜひ利用してみてください

We have an update to the minimaps compass direction.
In ARR you will be able to switch the minimaps compass direction to be same as the direction your character is facing. Just like ver 1.x, it is still possible to lock the compass direction so you can choose freely through option settings.
You will be able to try this feature out from the start of Beta test so please try it out
More character parts may be hard to impelement.

確かにパーツの数が増えると、キャラクター作成の幅が広がるので
出来るものならいくらでも欲しいところではあります。
しかし、パーツの数を増えるとキャラクター情報のパケットが増えてしまい、
ネットワークトラフィックに大きな影響を与えてしまう可能性があります。
日本のインフラ環境は、世界的に見ても良い方だと思いますが、
新生FFXIVは日本以外の地域でもサービスが行われますので、
パーツの追加に関しては、他の地域のインフラ状況を参考にしつつ、
慎重に検討を行う必要があります。
...という事情はあるものの、パーツに関するご要望を受け付けないということはありませんので、
「こういったパーツが欲しい!」というご意見がありましたら、
引き続きフィードバックをいただければと思います
If we can increase the amount of parts it allows to expand the character creation, so if can we want to add as much as we can.
However, by increasing the amount of parts the characters information (data) packet increases and that could cause a major effect to network traffic. Japans enviroment is pretty good when looking from world, but FFXIV ARR is serviced throughout the world so in regards to character parts, we have to carefully check other regions infrastructure.
...although we have that reason, it doesn't mean we're not taking in any ideas regarding parts so if you have ideas/comments on "I want this type of parts!" please continue to leave feedbacks. Thanks

In ARR some items will be bound to your character.

バインドされたアイテムに関しては、
同一アカウント内のキャラクターであっても受け渡しをすることができない予定です。
Regarding items that has been bounded.
Even if it's characters under the same account we are planning to not allow items to be sent/received.
錬精度が1以上溜まることでバインド化する想定のため、
この条件を満たしていない物であれば、他のキャラクターと受け渡しを行うことはできます。
なお、もともと受け渡しができないアイテム(Ex属性など)の場合は、
バインド化の有無に関わらず受け渡しは出来ません。
The idea is that if you get more than 1 spirit bond point, the item will be bound to your character. Therefore, if it doesn't meet this requirement (Item having 0 spirit bond points) you will be able to trade with other characters.
For items which you can't trade in the first place (such as Ex status items) no matter if the item is bound to your character or not you will not still not be able to trade them.

Regarding chat log

開発内部としても、現状表示可能なログの量が少ないという認識はあるため、PTとかで戦闘していると窓わけてあったりフィルターかけてあったりしても
一気にログが流れてLS会話の窓とかが一気に空白になるのでチャットログをもう少し多く残して欲しいです、
While in PT or battle, even if I have the chat windows separated lots of log is sent and because of that LS chat window starts disappearing quickly.Therefore I would like the chat log to be kept a little longer.
将来的には、より多くのログを残すことができるように検討しています。
The development side also believes the amount of log available to be displayed is not enough. In future, we are looking into being able to store much more log.
Being able to customise more features other than hair customisation and the existing options (boobs, tail, face etc) will cause the game to slow down in some way?

Adding more hairstyle options will cause the game to slow down in some way? (Lame excuse alert!)

Anyway that person is right character creation is nowhere near what people want from what I have seen, whatever that may be. If I haven't seen enough of CC then it is because SE are either hiding something great or something rubbish. No I will never be satisfied, doesn't mean they should ever stop trying. FFXIV1.0 CC was insultingly limited.
What I got was that they totally can add more parts but that adding more parts requires larger data packets (more information needs to be sent for the game to display characters - server sends more, player needs more).Being able to customise more features other than hair customisation and the existing options (boobs, tail, face etc) will cause the game to slow down in some way?

And they said while Japan is ok with a larger packet else where may not be, or something like that (not specified where the problem may be, just that some people can have issues displaying characters if the packet is larger and they're not getting it fast enough).
We'll see more hair styles from Phase 3 if I remember correctly.
As for other parts, it's other than hair like say more tatoos or more tail style (maybe). I'm not 100% sure either just throwing out my guesses.
