さらに取得制限についての進捗についてもお知らせします。
We have an update on gathering restrictions.

新生では同じ場所でずっと採集を行うことができなくなる代わりに、取得制限は撤廃される予定になっています。
In ARR you will not be able to gather from same spot continuously but at the same time we are planning to remove the gathering fatigue.

同じ場所ってのは同じエリアを指してるのか、同じ採掘ポイントをさしてるのかどっちだろ？
今だと何回か掘って移動だけど、新生では１回掘って移動１回掘って移動でポイント増やす感じなのかなー？
When you mean same spot, does this mean one gathering node or the same area? Right now we can dig few times and move, but in ARR does it mean just dig once then move while increasing the points?

同じ場所というのは、エリアではなく「1箇所の採集ポイント」のことです。
1ヶ所の採集が終わったら、そのポイントは消え次の採集ポイントがどこかにポップします。
この採集ポイントは自分にしか見えていないため、
「他人に取られて自分の画面に表示されている採集ポイントが消える」といった、
旧FFXIVにあったようなことは無くなり、自分のペースで採集が楽しめるようになります。
Same spot means one single spot, not the entire area.
Once you finish gathering from one node that node will disappear and another gathering node will popup somewhere else.
This gathering nodes can only be seen by you, therefore problems that existed in ver 1.x where others players are gathering on the spot you see will be gone and you will be able to enjoy gathering at your own pace.

リテイナーレベルについて、どのようなことができるようになるか進捗を確認してきました。
何 名かの方がコメントしてくれていますが、リテイナーレベルが上がると、リテイナーが採集してきてくれたり、お使いしてきてくれたりなどを検討しているとの ことです。実際にどうすればレベルが上がるのか、どのくらいのレベルになったらどういうことをしてくれるなどの詳細も、決まり次第お伝えしていきますね。
I checked up on the progress to see what kind of things are possible with retainer levels.
Some have already commented on this but we're looking into features such as the retainer being able to go gathering for you or go shopping once the retainers gets their levels up.
We will update you again once we confirm the details on the how the retainers will level, and what types of things the retainers can do at what level.

This is somewhat worrying for fishers. I'm all for moving from node to node, but part of the joy of fishing was being able to just stand in one spot all bloody day. Hmm...

Fishing is going to have a whole new system so it could be completely different from Botanist and Miners.

Nah just summary of alpha to prepare for beta test. Pretty much everything we already know is in there for new people waiting for FFXIV beta.
