PS4 - hard to read small UI elements

I'm getting eye strain trying to read the tiny UI elements on the PS4 version. I have a 32 inch TV and am sitting about 7 feet back from the screen, isn't great but it's fine for every other PS3/PS4 game I've tried.

Not all elements of the UI elements can be controlled by the HUD display options--In particular, the main Options menu and submenus, and the NPC dialog boxes. You can control the font size of the chat box, but that's it.

As it is, I'm not sure I can upgrade to the PS4 version without getting a new TV.

I agree. ive resized the font of the log and the size of the HUD ellements but the NPC dialog box is impossible small to read.
Also the hints and tips boxes that pop up are the same small size as the dialog boxes , its frustrating to read

I dont own a ps4 myself but for now would it be possible to change the video output?

As PS4 is HDMI only, you are somewhat limited. You could downgrade the system output to 720p to make things a little more readable, but then you'd be left with the same cluttered interface that the PS3 has.

sadly you cant change resolution within the game , might be able to change the ps4 resolution but i find that unnecesary as all the other games and the system itself would also change for no good reason

I have trouble to register my account in the PS4 browser that was always in a tiny window in the screen (51" HDTV 1080p)... make it full screen and increase the text.

After the registration I tried to change the options and I needed to wake up and go close to the HDTV to read them * I have good eyes *.

To create the character suck a mess because the text...

All the text are too small unless there are any option to change that... and I think the default could be big... at least twice the size of now.

I was waiting the FFXIV beta to see if I will subscribe to the MMO but after see these terrible UI text I even wanted to stopped to play the game on login screen.

In the UI adjustment screen try using R3 to change the size of elements, at least this works for the pc and ps3 version.

I dont own a ps4 myself but for now would it be possible to change the video output?

You can change the PS4 to output in 720p but you need to do that everytime you change a game to play.... I want to play aways in 1080p... that´s why I choose PS4 version over PS3 lol
For the beta this workarround is fine but for the final version Square-Enix needs to fix the text size or they will lost a lot of gamers.

You can do that in the login/registration UI... not in the Options UI or NPC UI.

UI is too small, I wont change resolution from 1080p to 720p (as someone said) cause its not a fix to problem. At the same time you could increase size of text in remote play. Below 3 pics from RP Vita

^^ Also same time could you please also tune login UI bigger, tv is 55".

Othervise playing (and remote playing) works nicely. UI is just so small
