So they patch it so that all the swimsuits and lightning event items can be put in the armoire, woot, but then they turn around and release a bunch of horse heads and xmas outfits that can't go in. WHY???

Will be probably be possible with 2.2![]()
So Event--->can't store them ---> Patch --->Can store them ^_^
Greetings,
In patch 2.2 we will be making it so you can store various Heavensturn kabuto, the Dragon Quest collaboration's Thug's Mug, and other event items in your Armoire.

Would it be at all possible to build this functionality in with the same patches that introduced the resources themselves? I'm really not sure why it's always a matter of release, then wait for another patch months down the road for the opportunity to store the stuff. If there are concerns with how large the Armoire is getting in terms of storage or memory or some such, all that can be easily taken into consideration when the items are finalized.

In FFXI event items were only able to be stored in the update after said event. It was always a bit of a pain, and continues to be so in FFXIV. Would love to see same patch storage for seasonal events.
I hate answers of 'just because' so I thought about this for a few. One of the reasons I can see them not letting your store it till the event is done is so that it gives people a reason to keep it on them and in use during the event. I tend to run around with the item until its able to be stored away permanently. Not saying its the only reason or even a good one. But to keep the event from being forgotten about after getting the loots I can see this being done on purpose and for this reason.
I think it's because they want people to use the event items during the event.
