Installing the 30 day trial of WTFast has fixed it for me. Should be a good temp fix until the network routing is fixed


Hi,

Since the 14th Jan I've started getting these sometimes shot lag spikes where players and NPCs freeze for 1-2 seconds (sometimes longer) then suddenly catch up to where they should be.

This happened suddenly and my girlfriend who sits next to me has the exact same issue that started at the same time as me. We haven't made any changes at our end and I'm still pinging the montreal data centers at the same as before 80-100ms and no packet loss.

This has made coil and the extreme modes totally unplayable for us both.

We're in the UK using SKY broadband

I've traced and there seems to be something weird going on with this node

Yea I am getting the same problem. Only ever since yesterday. I have tried everything. Reset router. Turned off everything running in the background. Run the game through admin and nothing has changed. I see a few people are having the same issue. Hopefully it's a maintenance fix would sort this out and hopefully it will be fair soon. As I didn't pay for the game just to not play as it is unplayable.

As someone who is also on Sky broadband, I've been having this issue since Tuesday evening when I tried to do some garuda EX farming with my FC.
Another FC member who is also with Sky is facing the same issue. It looks like it is affecting most (if not all) Sky customers across the country.

This problem is hitting everyone who lives in/has a route through the East Coast/US or otherwise has to utilize the ae-11-11.car2.Montreal2.Level3.net [4.69.141.1] router.

I installed WTfast which has a 30 day free trial and its routing me around the problem node! I'm able to raid for the next 30 days at least :x

AT&T Uverse customer in Dallas/Ft.Worth area. I am experiencing about 2 seconds of rubberbanding in the duty finder and world. I pinged the Midgardsomer server and got about 75ms back. Tracert showed no issues. No clue what's happening.

I'm on FiOS in RI and have the same routing issue. It goes through Montreal and hits a 280ms ping. I downloaded WTFast as well, it runs smoothly, but I really shouldn't have to pay $5.99/mo on top of the subscription fee to play. Hopefully it gets sorted within the 30 day free trial.

Nope, having same issue here by the way, I live in Italy and looks like only WTFast helps me at the moment.
Obviously once trial expire if lag is not fixed I just won't resubscribe, I won't pay 20+€ to play a game and I'm not supposed to pay a third party service to pay an AAA game.
