Thread: Best in Slot for SMN after 2.1?

However I'm not too sure about the trade off.

490 Set 1 (w/ book of spades): Crit 173(183), Det: 115(131), SS: 50
490 Set 1 (w/ high allagan): Crit 188 (198), Det 84 (98), SS: 82
490 Set 2 (w/ high allagan): Crit 170(180), Det: 96(111), SS: 82

492 set (w/ high allagan): Crit 211(221), Det: 50(63), SS: 105

Issue I see with 492 is you lose a lot of determination for it. It is likely better to go for 1 below accuracy for garuda since you'll be hitting anyway for that boost in determination over having more spellspeed. Then again maybe the weighting of the stats might me that 492 is better. I can't remember Torin's numbers off hand.

Sorry for the 1-week necro, but in the interest of simplicity I figure it'd be nice to keep everything in the same place. I was looking over this set you posted Seaku http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/M1O5 and noticed that if you could use High Allagan for your neck and ears you'd bump up your accuracy to 5 above the cap for 496 and trade 6 determination from the previous set down to 309 for 6 crit to 527 http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/M8AV
My question now is how that set compares to your 492 accuracy 552 crit 252 det http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/M8BL you are up 35 crit from the M8AV set but you're down 44 det. I know that there was some stat weight testing done around mid 2.1 that revealed that determination wasn't as crap of a stat compared to crit as we had thought, but unfortunately I can't find any of the data and thus can't confirm or deny that trading 35 crit for 44 det is a good deal or not.
