    Jobs start @50?

i think i read somewhere that lest say you get PLD job from GLD, the PLD job will be the same level as your GLD.

Now call me crazy but am i the only one that does not like this? i would like to level my new Job for R1 specially if they are going to be party based i dont wanna miss the R1-R50 party grind and learning how to use the job i got on a party before entering a highrank dungeon or event been a noob @ that job.

what do you think? i would really like to Rank up my new job instead of a free ticket to Rank XX job

PLD is just a Specialization Title that grants you access to bonuses and a strict skill path. Its not the same as the level each job job system from past FFs.

I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.

Anything about jobs are speculation as of now.

It is not a new job in the way they are implementing them, it is an advanced form of the current existing classes.

Atm the way they are doing it is Base Job (Fully uses the armory system) => Advanced party based job (Limited armory system with enhancements for party play)

I see nothing wrong with it as long as they add new jobs you have to level up in the future. Say if they added Musketeer which could be Cor as an advanced job, or Arcanist which might be something else... have no idea what job that would be.

Now if they make it where you never have to level the new jobs in the future... then yes all hell should break loose, but atm if it is working as I see it. They are just adding an advanced job to each of the existing classes with plans to still add the other later down the line.

While I'm not a huge fan of the idea of unlocking the job and it being the same rank as your class etc idea... we don't have enough info on the job system to really know how it's going to work.

Also they already said that the job's would have abilities that need to be unlocked, quested ect... so it won't be a 50 GLD to PLD and now you're Super PLD so no worries about that.

Jobs won't have levels and as such won't need to be leveled up. Jobs are an advanced form of the class that unlocks them. So for example purposes, a level 50 Gladiator would be a level 50 Paladin. (Example only!)

Also we can confirm that we'll be changing the term "ranks" (as in rank 50 Pugilist) to "levels" (as in level 50 Pugilist) along with the removal of the physical level. We'll also be changing skill points to experience points.

    In summation:
    Rank > Level
    Skill points > Experience points
