Is it possible to find more then 1 map while gathering or you can only treasure hunt every 18hr?

You can "See" and use as many maps as you want, the 18 hr restriction is for actually picking up a map while gathering.

Since fishing is random be very careful not to fish in the areas that drop maps. Thankfully, I don't think any fish necessary for crafting drop in any of these holes so there isn't any reason to go to them unless you are going for maps and no two maps come from the same fishing hole.

I thought you had to be at least a lvl 40 DoL to get maps, however I am a 27 fisher and caught a leather map while fishing for copperfish in the Agelyss River. Did I just get lucky or something?

I believe the maps are found based on location, not level.

Level 50 nodes won't show up til you hit 46.

You can do 8 man maps with 2 people and two chocobos.

I've gotten a variety of rewards thus far ranging from frosted glass lens, to 5k gil, 15 mythology, hq items like rose gold, 250 shards, 8 coke and so on.

Hey Camate, how about a timer allowing us to see when we can gather maps again?

Yes a timer would be awesome since I plan to do treasure hunting every day from now on. Timer would be nice.

So far I've done two treasure hunts and they've been a lot of fun! I think the rewards are fair and it lets us apply the DoL in a different way.
My only suggestion is that there is an in-game timer be added that lets us know when we can next mine/log/fish for the map.
It can be added to our "Timers" menu to keep things simple. ^^
