PS3 auto run feature.

Since the release of 2.1, is it just me, or has the L1 auto-run gotten a lot more finicky? I can't even zoom my camera at all in and out without activating it. It's driving me crazy, mostly because who the hell uses the auto-run intentionally, ever??? I had only ever had slight problems with it before, but it's way crazy now. I can hold on the L1 for like more then a second and it will still activate it. Isn't suppose to just be a tap? I tried to remap the controller so I don't have to worry about it, but I can't even do that!! Blah!

I tried a second controller, and it's the same results.

EDIT: It seems there are at least a hand full of us that are struggling with this problem.

I would ask kindly that the majority of you who posted in this thread, make your way over to this thread as well, click like and maybe comment if you have the time, if only to raise awareness of this current situation.

OMG i was about to make a post about this. It's not just you and its very annoying. I try to zoom out the camera and it makes me auto run.

It's gonna make me auto run off of titans ledge!

I tried to see if i could make auto run to a different button but it doesnt let you.

Please Please devs fix this asap, it's horrible

I even asked around on our server, and almost everyone with a ps3 is having this problem. I had it happen sometimes before, but now I can't keep it from happening! It is frustrating beyond belief because the camera control is being overridden by an auto-run feature that is absolutely unnecessary. Please, please, please either fix this or do away with it altogether. I'm terrified now to do any content that is move intensive because of it. I don't know what could have changed between pre 2.1 and now, but there is a noticeable difference in how sensitive the auto-run is now. How often does someone use the auto-run anyway?! The zones in this game barely facilitate mounts let alone the need to ruin my camera controls with some finicky auto-run bullcrap. All due respect.

It's bugging the crud out of me too. I know I'm not hitting L1 and activating it manually. I can't find a way to turn off the feature.

you can't turn it off, i've tried. we just have to keep this thread alive and hope the devs see it

Personally, I would just like to turn off the auto-run completely, and just have the L1 button handle camera functions only. It seemed strange to me from the get go that they would have 1 button handle 2 different functions, especially attach it to something as meaningless as the auto-run. I feel like I;m sounding crazy, but this is really ruining the game for me. Every dungeon I ran today, I wound up doing dumb shit cause the auto-run would charge me into a pack of mobs none f us were ready for. It's making me scared to use the camera. More then anything, I'm afraid no one will see this, and it will never be addressed. I might try to send a post via in game later tonight.

This is just unacceptable for me, it's getting me killed as well as bugging the hell out of me, i never once had a problem with this before the patch.

I really hope they sort this out fast, it's sucking alot of fun out of the game and i will have to stop playing if something isn't done.

Yes this has become much more of an issue since 2.1 . I tried out some PvP earlier and kept auto running into the fence or running past my opponent like a moron because I tried zooming out my camera. It was funny but got me killed a few times lol. I really hope they can fix whatever caused this because it was fine before but like others have said I'm afraid to do anything movement intensive again for fear of running off into something bad :x

Can we please just have an option to disable autorun? It made me panic in Pharos Sirius... I don't even want think about EM Primals...
