FC Housing

Does anyone know what the difference will be, between a Small/Medium/Large FC housing other than vanity options like how many items you can decorate with?

Im asking about REAL perks. Airships, workshops, chocobo farms.... Are these limited to certain houses?

I expected housing to be FAR cheaper... now that I see a large will be 80-100 million, I'm tempted to tell my FC to suck it up and just get them a small house, but I dont want to deprive them and myself of other perks : /

Yes, seeing those prices made me think about it again. I only have a small FC and we were hoping for a large house, but I think if we seel our souls we might just be able to afford a medium. Hoping it doesnt take us too long to get to Rank 6!

Can anyone explain me where the heck are we supposed to find an hundred million? Even in a FC with 100 active members it is 1 million each. It seems to me I have more chances to make it in real life than in here. Because unless I am missing something the game economy doesn't generate that amount of money. At least not for everyone.

by things u mean furniture to decorate right? or did they announce already the difference to cultivate or anything like?


yea me and my fc are having the same issue, we were hoping fir a medium, but 30m among 15 ppl <.<
i guess SE doesnt want small fc and wants ppl to start merging

or they just don't want everyone having a large house. they probably want that a large house is a status symbol not everyone can afford.
just for reference: in my FC we set aside 3 mil. Well, that won't be enough i guess...

Thank you, but Im asking is vanity is the ONLY difference.
I know the vanity numbers, I want to know if anyone heard otherwise. Like, if a small house wont be able to get an airship or something.

First of all - the housing pricing is TOTALLY ridiculous!! And on Legacy? Just joke! 100 mills at least for large? Get reall SE ... I've put aside 2 Mills for housing but that would not get me even the crappiest small house on the "poorest" server. No change of getting large - as main carfter player I was hoping to have the underground workshop as that was my main intention and purpose of getting the FC housing in a first place but I can forget about that now - it would take me about 10 years at least to be able to afford it. Reading the patch notes yesterday make me almost cry - how silly really. All they'll do by this is just fuel more the RMTs

Also - reading the calculation of the "auctions" for the plots in the patch notes and decrease of the price every six hours by 14% makes no sense whatsoever - the figures there are totally wrong. I simply hope nobody will buy the plots / houses at those crazy prices and have the SE re-evaluate things. Every single player I've talked about this was expecting the prices to be about 10 times lower at least but this is simply way too much - what the hell they've based their "economy evaluation" on? Top 2 - 5% percent of the playes (half of them being "rich" due to the RMT)?? Those are not realistic prices at all. What a shame.

@Aeika: You can have the workshop only in the large house - sadly out of reach for any players oriented mainly on Crafting.

BTW - I have my own (very) small FC and as mentioned above - I mainly do crafting (although I've leveled up the WHM all the way to 50 prior starting crafting plus few other clases a bit as well) and if by any change there is more players like me on my server try to give me a shout in game (I'm on every day) if you'd be interrested joining the mainly "crafting" FC. The main idea (for now) is to get large plot / house to be able to have the workshop but I'm quite pessimistic about that with the current pricing. Let's see how that will develop over comming days. Also the clarification on the prices decreases in the plot auctions are obviously needed as the info in the patch notes post is inconsistent at the moment.

I know how you feel. I thought I was extremely well off... with 5mill in my FC bank and 15mill to my personal name, I didnt even fathom the fact that I still wouldnt be able to provide my FC with the housing we wanted. I thought I was extremely rich, and then I saw the prices. With the current rapid rate that the market prices are dropping to ((i70 2-star is around and under 100k each on my server, and myth tome items are 7k each)), it will take me 300 days - a full year to even consider land, and thats not including the house blueprints to build one!


As a player with all crafts to 50, I'd most likely be interested in this workshop thing you mentioned : /
Anyone know of other things I would miss out on? Do small houses get airships, or chocobo farms?

The small house is the size of your inn room.

The medium house has I think 3 areas inside that you can walk in and out.

The largest house is indeed a sort of 'mansion' with several rooms and lots of space.

There is a BIG difference between each tier of housing.
