Skill Speed vs Spell speed isnt even arguable; BLM have an infinite amount of resources to utilize SpS efficiently, while physical DPS almost receive a hindrance for adding more SkS, is there a reason for this or is it oversight?

Physical classes do way more damage with their white hits which profit quite a lot from skill speed. A monk I know how claims to sit at 320+ dps told me 40% of his damage comes form autoattacking. Quite a good reason to invest in those. You just need to find the balance where more autoattacks do less damage than higher TP-Skills. No min-maxing here.
Skill speed does not affect auto-attack speed. To confirm, I just went and tested this on striking dummies in Coerthas. Methodology was as follows:
Weapon: Artemis Bow +1; 3.28 second delay
Skill speed from gear: 63; .06 second GCD shift, would expect adjusted AA delay to be at most 3.22 sec
Number of consecutive attacks: 101; first attack comes around the 1 second mark, so target times will be adjusted to times for 101st attack.
Expected 101st time if affect is present: <325 seconds
Expected 101st time if affect is absent: <331 seconds
Observed 101st time: ~329 seconds
Timer used was my phone's stopwatch. FFXIV APP was used to determine number of hits. Obviously, I started them both at the same time.
Monks gain an autoattack speed increase from their abilities; skill speed doesn't affect it.Physical classes do way more damage with their white hits which profit quite a lot from skill speed. And BLM are the exception, not the rule, due to essentially infinite mp. Spell speed isn't very good for most casters/healers either.
