rank 10 chocobo barding and respec.

So I hear we're getting a chocobo respec ability, and I even hear it might come in 2.1

Can we get official word on what respecing means for rank 10 barding?

Say I have a rank 10 healer chocobo with the whm barding and I decide I'd prefer a tank chocobo instead. When I respec will I lose my whm barding, and it be replaced with the tank barding? Or will we receive the tank barding in addition to the whm barding? Will we be able to equip the whm barding on a tank specced chocobo if so? Or will we not even receive the new specs barding?

I'd like to eventually get all three barding types so I can have drg whm tank and eventually the subscription reward blm barding.

I suppose that may suggest they don't know what respeccing means for barding yet. but if they do it'd be nce to get a word on it.

I don't have rank 10 barding so this is half guessing, half question:

When you "unlock" the barding, is it forced onto your chocobo or is there an option to put on individual pieces? If it's the latter (selected) then I'm strongly inclined to believe the barding will stay on as long as you do not change it. When swapping GCs for minions I found I could keep my old company barding (Maelstrom barding while in Flames, for example) as long as I didn't take it off. If I do, I have to change back to Maelstrom to access it.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that chocobo raising might come into play on this somehow.

I imagine chocobo raising isn't gonna be here any time soon. otoh, respecing our chocobo's needs to be here soon.

Am I right in saying that because I didn't know about the unique Chocobo barding until a few weeks ago, and have already put points into attack and healing abilities; my Chocobo (as it is now) will never get barding as I can't fill an ability tree with the potential points I would have left at full rank?
