Blocking Free Company Invites

Is there a way to currently do this? If not, I highly suggest SE implements this. I get 3-4 invites to random FC's everyday by people simply running by. This is annoying and from my knowledge there isn't even always a way to accurately see who sent the invite, thus not allowing me to know who to blacklist.

Hm, well you can always join a Free Company or perhaps make your own. Only thing I know that can block it is if you're in one. Maybe ask a friend to join one but you don't need to talk or participate in any FC activities. :x Hope this helps.

Have you tried setting your status to busy? Its done by selecting the status from a dropdown menu when you edit your search info.

I have my status set to busy to block RMT tells and blind party/linkshell invites. Perhaps it can be used to block FC invites as well.

Downside is you can't receive any tells at all.

Have you tried setting your status to busy? Its done by selecting the status from a dropdown menu when you edit your search info.When you get invites from companies with names like "Nyte vempyrs of the nightwolf" or "Sefirots Soulders XVI" you tend to want to avoid the hell out of people.

I'll try that. It's not ideal, but better than the alternative!

The biggest problems with /busy are A) that it doesn't set or send a return message and B) I don't get an alert that someone has sent me a /tell. /busy would be useful if it worked like this:

• Set /busy
• Set option to be alerted (or not)
• Set return message ("I'm sorry I missed your message -- I'm busy at the moment")

Bonus points if player can design personal return message.

That's the way /away or /afk has worked in pretty much every other MMORPG I've played. It was even in EQ, 10+ years ago. I don't know why FFXIV can't figure out how to implement this feature. Or, if they know how to do it, why haven't they done it?

I suggested this before, too. I was getting 5-6 invites from one FC who was kinda known for random, repeated blind invites. They stopped a week or two ago, I guess they hit member cap.

...and just as that FC stops, another 2-3 appear to do the same thing. >.>
