No more events?

I know Halloween is over but shouldn't in-game events be continue rolling on?

I know Christmas is just around the corner but there are still like a month and a few apart. Would it not be wise for SE to throw something in? Like a treasure hunt event or crafting event, anything?

I don't see the need for an event outside of holiday. I wouldn't mind one, but don't think its needed. That being said, aren't the Lightning FATEs coming this month?

heh. why do events have to correlate to 'real world' events, anyway?
I kind of like how SW:TOR does it. the events aren't related to ours (if you ignore 'life day'/christmas, which wasn't an actual event anyway) and some are simply recurring (bountry contract week/ilum pvp event)
I don't MIND it when they do go hand in hand with the usual happenings, but I definitely prefer the unique evens.

Who cares at this rate?
All they been doing is quick shoving FATE event related crap...or go from town to town
to talk and to people and ta-da quest done. Light and DQ and FFXI will all be FATE events...yay.
I hope they get Christmas right. I love events, but so far these have been a dang joke.
Wouldn't mind a Turkey Day Event! Maybe a Dungeon based for some of these events.

To be honest, right now I can do without any events.
All they do is give you vanity gear you can't really use until 2.2 and can't store either. If you can even call what we had so far events.
Just adding a FATE doesn't constitute an event for me, Halloween was moving in the right direction, giving us a storyline to experience, but it still felt lacking.
Turkey week is something only the US really care about so chances are we'll never seen an event for that. The next seasonal thing is likely christmas related and we'll see how that goes.

I'll agree with amnie, more events unrelated to real world happenings would be nice.
