These stupid FATES need to STOP INTERRUPTING GATHERING

I waited 1 hour just to harvest an unspoiled node.
A stupid FATE spawns on top of the node.
It's a low level FATE so I'm like ok whatever and ignore it.
I go to harvest the node, some dumb FATE mob does a ground attack while I'm in the middle of harvesting, I get interrupted, the level 50 node is gone and I wasted an hour waiting to get NOTHING.

Guess what I'm a BOTANIST I didn't JOIN THIS FATE. I'm just sitting there trying to gather my crap. Stop getting botanists (and miners) involved in these stupid FAtes. Normally if it's a regular tree then I guess I can live with it but ONCE YOU ARE INTERRUPTED ON AN UNSPOILED NODE IT DISAPPEARS. So basically level 50 gatherers are screwed. This basically ruined my night and I promptly logged off the game. Dear SE Staff, please stop only focusing on the battle classes and actually listen to the complaints people have about botany (and while we're on topic, crafting.)

Pretty sure stealth does nothing to ward you from an ae ground attack.

I can't count how many times I went "no I did NOT!!!" after seeing the "FATE joined!" message. Why would a DoL/DoH even be able to join a FATE?

And no, stealth doesn't save you from getting hit by AoE. Lost a few unspoiled nodes to that.

The nodes are up for quite a while. You can always wait if a FATE is active. But this doesn't help when it pops right on you, just harvest fast

Yeah I guess i didnt think about AoE effect. This must be a botanist thing, I dont think FATEs pop near darksteel or gold nodes.

I'm pretty sure someone recently had a healer help them kill a monster with their botany axe and not only did it take forever but the botanist received no exp from doing this.
So even if I WERE to join a FATE that popped up on top of me, I'd get no exp anyway. So really FATEs do nothing but get in the way of Botany.
And I'm glad to hear that miners don't have to deal with this but upset because I just got my botanist to 50 and now I have this game mechanics griefing my gathering.

Yea sadly I got 3 crafters & 1 gatherer to 50 only to learn that crafters/gatherers really only make money within themselves while battle classes pretty much just farm their tomstones and upgrade their gear that way. Maybe things will chance once housing comes in... :/

I whacked that drunkard from Bruscarrion's around with a hatchet during a FATE and it blatantly says "because you are not a DOW or DOM, your contribution will be ignored".

Yea... that needs to be adjusted one way or another.
