Character Location not updating.

So, ever since CBT3 when the Duty Finder has been released, I've been encountering this error over and over again. I will describe what I see first, then I will describe what another player I am always grouped with, sees as well.

What I see:
At random times, while in dungeons or roaming the world (Roughly 1 time per dungeon or once every 5-6 hours in the world) I reach a couple of interesting points. First, while roaming the world, I reach a point where players and mobs vanish from the screen, at these times, I scroll over my connection icon (in-game) and it shows that I am sending and receiving as normal. This takes anywhere from 30sec-2min to resolve itself and everything shows up. Another issue I notice is that I am standing face-to-face with an NPC, mob, Destination or zone transition, but when attempting to interact with it, I get a "Not in range" error.

This is especially apparent while I am healing in dungeons, though easier to manage while leveling my SCH. When this issue occurs, my send/receive is still going at a steady pace, however, whenever I attempt to heal, the cast goes off, however nothing is registered. To test how the server was reading, I am able to continue to move and never stop to cast a heal. As a SCH, I can however, control my Eos or Selene to heal the targets without any delay, however, character heals refuse to register.

What other players see:
When this issue occurs, it is like I afk'd in place. I can however control my fairy still without flaws and get yelled at for it. If I am on my WHM, well.. Sadly it's usually a wipe.


I have been steadily tracking this issue for me across 3 different internet providers. I have tested this with and without Ping Zapper and the issue still occurs. I've gone as far as to uninstall and re-install FFXIV. Even swapped computers and got the same issue. I am fairly bothered by this issue and would like to have some sort of resolution to this.

Steps away from the game, I've done:
Updated all drivers associated with my computers
Opened every port on my firewall on my computer and on my router.
Bought another network card and installed it
Moved from Wireless to Hard-wired connection.
Ran FFXIV as admin as well as Ping Zapper

Curious if there are any other steps that I should try or if SE can take a look into this issue and provide proper feedback into this long-standing issue that I have posted about several times and opened tickets for.

Further-more that makes this even more interesting..

While healing on my SCH, I can control my fairy to heal anyone and move it wherever I want to move it, however, I am unable to heal anything.
