Some help for any WAR's being left out of Titan groups.

Last week I was going for my WAR relic and there had been some disscusion about using WAR dps in Titan hardmode in my ls. To my amazement another individual on my server had the same thought and started a group I joined right away.

Set up was PLD, BRD, DRG, WARx3, SCH WHM. Here's how it went down first attempt we destroyed the heart with the DRG dead on the ground and no limit break so DPS not an issue. WAR can really bring the pain in a simple and way by rotating just his basic dps combo leaving us to concentrate on dodging. Now here was the other thing WoL did like squat. When one of us did get hit by one, could simply hit thrill of battle and shrug it off like nothing even happened. So no drain on healing for the MT either.

Heavy armour is tits and WAR's still bring the pain I only wish I'd filmed this amazing run to share with all of you.

I'm very interested in this strat, I think it would work well too. When I'm not MTing I usually eat one or two WotL even when I anticipate it (latency), and usually it's the squishy DPS that die in Titan pugs which results in failing to down the heart.

Now to find other WARs that are willing to try lol...

That is very interesting indeed. What kind of gear where you guys sporting? I would like to know if I am geared enough to try.

I can confirm this. I dps as war after my fc finally let me join. Full dps gear and accessories, garuda axe. Got #3 in dps and no lb for heart. After having dpne the fight countless times in failpugs, and being rejected when I asked to dps in others, it was an incredible relief. I averaged 121 dps for the fight and that was without inner release. However, the game still says I'm a tank, and an unpreferable one at that. I hope that I can eventually do what I signed up for when I rolled a warrior in coil and beyond. Two pld tanks in coil is good, two war tanks in coil is bad. Because of this fact, the game has been designed poorly. Wars need a buff.

I also did Titan HM as a DPS warrior... I ended up with 146 dps using ifrits axe I was 3rd dps behind 2 brds with relic weapons(they had 185 and 165 dps).

one question, how do you keep enmity low ?i find its easy to break enmity just by using bb combo

Have to use storm's combo more often at the start but as the fight goes on the enmity isn't an issue and you can use the normal rotation using BB combo.

WAR DPS is viable but not really ideal. I ran as DPS when we downed ADS for the first time, and we were getting to him with 6.5-7 minutes remaining and when we killed him we had 1 minute before the enrage timer. I also DPS'd on Titan for my first relic weapon.

Biggest thing is to respec all your points to STR and use DPS accessories. That way you can play as a sort of mediocre DPS on WAR rather than a mediocre tank.

I don't believe you could hit 146 dps with Ifrit axe and also be able to use the BB combo in the fight. If you were at such a high dps you would likely pull within a few BB combos. I DPS fairly frequently on my WAR and I am relegated to SE combo due to the risk of pulling.

Don't really care if you believe me... We had 4 people with parsers and each one was showing me at 146 dps +- 3. But thank you for quoting me, and sorry you have such a hard time dealing with your enmity - maybe it's your MT.

He probably has 30str instead of 30 vit like I had. Also if he wasn't trapped in a rock I see it being possible under those circumstances
