The community team doesn't just go "oh, this thread has 1000 views, time to look at it!" They read the forums in the same manner in much the same manner as we do.Haha, thanks for the reply Bayohne :P Although I'd have to admit, this is probably the first thread I've seen with less than 1000 views that has gotten a reply from a rep. I understand why though, it makes sense to take care of the more active topics first. I just wish more people would check more than just General discussion. Anyhow, thank you for the submission, I'm eager to see what the devs have to say!
This is not what I meant, but I can see how it may be perceived this way. I know the reps read every thread. I never say they didn't. I said they rarely seem to reply to topics that don't get much attention from the community. The reps in fact read more threads than the community which is what i was getting at. There's a lot of good threads that aren't in the General Discussion forum and it's my interpretation that they get less attention (from the community) because of where they are posted.
We would have never known that Bayohne submitted this topic to the dev team if he didn't say so here. So without the reply we wouldn't know for sure if its been taken into consideration.
We should keep in mind our buddy Bayohne is paid to read what we say all day, and it'd slow him down from reading everything if he had to comment everytime.
I agree that this does seem like an issue that could get out of hand. It's tough to have focused areas for discussion if they're not being used, but its something I've seen on other forums as well. There always tends to be a place where players congregate the most and even though certain topics fit other areas better, more discussion invariably ends up happening there. We'll continue to monitor that situation and discuss it internally too (since we're currently in the beta version of the forums!)
True! But! I'm sure you'll understand that I can't post every single "I sent this off to the team!" for a few reasons. A) You'd get sick of seeing it, I'm sure (lol) and 2) If there's something that can't be responded to immediately due to testing or planning, there could end up being many calls for "Well, what's the response!" And then I'd be all "Nothing yet, hang tight!" or something and people would be like "Bayohne sucks!" and I'd be all ""
You gotta believe! (And Lionix, excellent, excellent lyrics lol)
Glad i'm not the only person thinking of Parappa![]()

U rappin' awesome
Bayohne, Do you actually play this game at all? Or do you just work on it as a Rep.? Also honestly we never get tired of seeing "So and so has been sent off to the Dev. Team" because to use that means someone hasn't taken it out of our hands and sent it to the Devs and I know some people like to get answers quickly (I am guilty of this at times), it still tells us in some manner that you care and you think it is a good idea and you have taken the time to pass it on the the Dev Team.
Bayohne - I'm very critical of how SE have handled and are still handling this game, but if they did one good thing it was hiring you. I love that your replies are personal and how you even add some humour to them (it means a lot more than you think!). I think most of us were expecting uninspired copy/paste answers to our posts.
I'm not one to kiss ass, but I felt this needed to be said.
