All armour is designed for hyur

The lack of race-specific armour in this game has been slightly frustrating for me, because it more or less boils down to all armour being made for the standard Hyur then being stretched accordingly to fit the other races, some of which fare better than others depending on how similar their proportions are.

It seems like, "How much worse does my equipment look on my character compared to a Hyur/Miq'ote?". It's especially frustrating for an elezen for whom the only armour that ever really compliments their proportions is their starting armour.

It doesn't help racial distribution when the least offensive races in terms of animations/physique/posture also fit the armour best, lo' and behold what the overwhelming majority chose to play as.

Dunno about you but my elezen look badass for a lack of a better word with heavy plate armor.

I don't know, while I haven't had wear of heavy armor (not having a heavy armor class leveled to any feasibility) I think they look fine. I mean, sure, some of the armor leaves much to be desired but that's a general observation and not anything race related.

I must admit Elezen look far better in this game then FFXI, female especially. ( of course, right?) altho i can't comment on how they look in outfits as i am hyur main (ignore my current character it's a month old character i wasted a fantasia on due to never playing it again) But some of the outfits i see them in mostly do look a little odd. the main ones i see are whm and everyone looks stuffed in that big ol robe.

Perhaps you can show some armor you feel does not look right? i'm curious in your eyes.

It's just a general obversation of the majority that I've experienced and see others strolling around in, then I'll see a Hyur/Miq'ote and I can't help notice how pleasing fodder armour you wear while levelling looks on them, armour which I otherwise felt looked rather crappy.

You can't wear standard cowls/robes without the feet clipping through them while running for example, that was when I first dawned on me I think.

That's crazy. Elezen females are beautiful! Especially in Coliseum armor.... :P

I agree OP, Having more race specific armor would be great and help players look more unique and less cookie-cutter. That being said, the Dragoon artifact armor looks so good on my elf-self.
