Completing past quests using our echo ability

I for one managed to complete the easter quests but I know of many who did not and would like the chance to have them completed for their quest log. Could we not use the echo to "travel back in time" to an instanced area to do all 6 of the easter quests?

Same thing with the NPC Alfgar. I waited forever for him to respawn and he never came. I would love to have that small achievement and now I will never have it. If only I could use the echo to travel back in time and speak with the npc then I would be a very happy Lalafell.

At the very least I'd like to just see allowing us the ability to re-do past quests we've already completed with our echo ability to be able to re-live the story and enjoy it once again!

The echo ability could also be a sort of "replay cutscenes" as well.

I for one loved the whole rank38 cutscenes.

Oh, this is a good idea. I would love to be able to replay the main storyline on my char ^_^

I support this idea. It makes perfect sense in terms of the already existent lore and the player's need for such a feature. At the very least make it so you can replay cutscenes.

Yes using this instead of a goblin footprint would be nice. But I want to know if anyone thinks there is any sort of problems with being able to enter a past event instance. Say if someone wanted to talk to Alfgar NPC who has been spawning in ul'dah randomly. I still havn't been able to catch him. After event ends I could just access my echo and use it to travel back in time to a small instance area where I could talk to him.

I love the idea of certain Quests only being completable by using the Echo then controlling your character within the scene, since right now outside of cut-scene situations the Echo doesn't REALLY do anything.. But I also like the idea of it being a Goblin Footprint-esque deal that allows you to replay completed cutscenes.. I'd love to re-visit the Rank 38/46 scene.

I don't think we should be able to pick and choose which event quests we can complete at any time, I like that they are limited to their specific holidays.

I do like the idea of using Echo as some kind of "daily quest" ability, to repeat older ones for gil etc.

This is a great idea. At least giving the ability to see past cutscenes would be nice, kind of like the goblin footprint in Final Fantasy XI.
