CMIIW, shouldn't that be 368 "BILLION" Gil instead? Why saying 367,700 million? lol

Billion in the US is not the same as billion is in other countries. The description given is more international friendly.

And yes, that is probably the actual amount, when adding it up across all the servers.

It's definitely billions. Apparently, there was an item or gil dupe in the game that was abused, before it was patched.

This is correct, they don't use a specific word for "million" or "billion" like English does. Japanese uses some amount of "ten thousands" for most large numbers.

they did it in FFXI many times and banned thousands of account every year.

I think a billion in the US is a million million whereas in EU its a thousand million. I'm not 100% sure but I think thats the case.
