    Why aren't the Coil instances more 'continuous' like Crystal Tower?

    Compare the design of Labyrinth of Ancients to Second Coil; LoA is a huge, single instance divided by only three loading screens. Coil is four different instances separated by what are basically lobby rooms. Why? The LoA design is nice because it feels like one big continuous dungeon. You don't have to leave to enter a different instance on your way to the next boss.

    What if instead of taking the teleporter behind Rafflesia, you actually walked the pathway to the breach of the Coil structure, and the instance just continued on into Turn 7? If a load screen is absolutely needed, why not place the zone line there?

    It might seem like nitpicking, but the disconnect between Turns is off-putting. Currently, Second Coil feels like a series of rooms you teleport in and out of, and it would be interesting to actually see the entire length of the dungeon. I'm not saying Square should go back and retrofit them, but I hope it's something they've considered for the design of Third Coil.

    It's so you can take breaks, and don't need the same group for all turns/bosses.

    first it will cause problems with lockout

    second coil is hardest content in the game

    its very hard to put entire 2nd coil as 1 instance cover T6 -T9

    can you beat T6 - T9 within 120 mins?

    even if we say you can farm T6 - T9 but still beating T6 - T9 in 120 minutes still a challenging thing

    not to mention brb times and some mistakes and wipes

    ^ simple solution:

    Timer: 180mins
    Lockouts: each boss acts as a check point. Would work the same as current lockout, except we don't exit/re-enter.
    Put trash mobs that are somewhat difficult between each boss, and there u have it.

    Makes it easier to add it to duty finder later when they remove the lockouts and for purposes of other systems like the bonus nexus light.

    Some of us switch to different jobs for different turns. We would have to back out anyway unless they allow us to switch after each boss is killed in the instance.

    Speaking of switching jobs between turns. Would be nice if they made it so you didn't have to wait for your CDs every time you switched. But oh well. It is what it is.

    Lobby rooms are checkpoints so you can get out, fix stuff, change jobs, go spank that S mark that just poped. Etc.

    Coil is much more team oriented, CT is just a Duty Finder thing.

    LoA was meant to be completed by three groups of eight all at once. Coil is designed for a single team of eight with each turn to be completed separately.

    I would be much happier with coil if there was DIFFERENT music for each turn! Or at least different music from 1st to 2nd coil. Listening to the same music while poking The Avatar as you did while hacking at Caduceus is getting oooooooold.

    Well, there's different field music, but you don't spend much time listening to that, sadly.

    Hell you don't spend much time listening to Spiral either (the regular battle theme for coil), which is actually the best track in that place.
