Chocobo companion and Duty Finder

I didn't see a relevant forum for this topic so I'm posting it in general. It seems rather inconvenient that you are unable to register for the duty finder while your chocobo companion is summoned. I'd like to be leveling him up while I'm waiting to join a dungeon run, but with the current system I'm unable to. Even if you register for the duty finder first and then summon your chocobo, you'll be kicked from the party once it finds other members. Why not just change it so that when a party is found, your chocobo is automatically dismissed?

Or, at least, give you time to dismiss him. I did not know you were automatically kicked from Duty Finder when your Chocobo companion is out.

Agreed. As it is now, I will likely never use my companion because I will always have Duty Finder going as I play.

I agree with this.. Has to be an oversight on their end. Theres no way this should be working as intended in a game where you can do pretty much anything else while in duty finder

I agree with everybody ,i would summon my chocobo while in duty finder .... and when istance come it can be like in city it stays out

Still relevant. If he'd posted a new thread somebody would have said to post in one of the existing threads. Though there has been a dev response that they are working on this issue. My guess is since the original plan was to use chocobo companions as actual party members in DF parties then went back on that at release they never had time to change it to where they can be out while in queue.

4 months ago is not an existing thread. It's annoying for people who actually read the threads for context to see irrelevant posts due to being old. In most forums, this is called "necroing" and is often a bannable offense.
And the devs having responded to this is exactly why it's a nonissue.
