Speaking with the UI team, we've confirmed that text commands /propose, /random, and /countdown are planned to be implemented in the future, but we don't yet have a solid time frame to share with you.

For those who don't know about the ffxi command /propose...

Also other things like /readycheck, /roll are all very useful stuff.

Can we also have back /countdown?

Yes, we need /propose and /random in this game

I'm not sure what you mean by bringing it "back" if it was never in FFXIV to begin with, but why do you want them to add this command?

Oh, yeah... Well I just figured old commands in ffxi would be present in ffxiv... They are a bit similar. I liked the command to propose questions to the linkshell, party, alliance or even say sometimes! It's pretty entertaining and fun!

I want both to see a return. Although I don't miss the casino's the operated out of Jueno. However, I do miss the ability to quickly and easily settle matters between people with a good ol /random.
