Crafting 100% Success 100% HQ 2 Star Items

...more important than fixing poor condition is understanding that each step is crucial because of the limitations of the buffs. What I plan on doing is using a hasty touch...

First one, yeah. Using Waste Not > Steady Hands basically locks you in for at least 3 touches (all 5 if in this case).

Using a Great Strides touch on poor condition is an issue though, and there's room to Observe pre SH (if enough spare CP) as there aren't enough buffs running for it to screw anything up.

Hasty Touch is a gamble whether it hits (and adds to Inner Quiet). If we wanted to do that, we could just use the full Hasty Touch spam method - which is pretty good and the reason it's popular. It just relies on RNG not being cruel.

I find it funny that when I first started crafting the greatest thing was using Great Strides into Excellent condition. Now the largest liability is Excellent condition, because of the Poor condition it brings with it.

I have 354 craft 338 control (will go to 343ish soon) and 345 cp unbuffed, 375 if i use crit crawl.

The only problem I see is if I get unlucky with ending up on a Poor when I use Byregot. I do not have the CP to use observe. I'm hearing things about Ingenuity. Does it go off item level, or the level to use it. I'm too scared to test if I can still 3 shot it with Ingenuity 1.

Can I one shot 2 star HQ with NQ mats? Using that rotation costs 381 w/o comfort. I have 369 w/ noncrit cp food + 14 gain from Comfort giving me 383 CP. I should have 2 CP left over. Thoughts?
Also, what would be my rotation for 40 dura 2star items? Any idea?

I can confirm for you that you can finish any 2-star synthesis in 3 Careful II under Ingenuity 1 at 347+ craftsmanship.

Ingenuity 2 is a total waste of CP when you have so much craftsmanship.

I always get 100% HQ w/ that Skill Rotation using NQ Mats and it's easy to adjust rotation when Excellent Condition pops out near Byregote step.

Try my current Skill Rotation..

I tested this rotation for a while with 2-star dishes.

It will get you a 100% always UNLESS you don't get a single good during your touches. If all the touches are under Normal condition it will leave you with 92-94%.

Here's my adjusted/tweaked Macros from Page 1/3 for 100% HQ with NQ materials - Modified so you can use Macros still and stop any "Poor" conditions happening on Byregot's Blessing, reduced the overall CP cost by 11.(Sorry Bouillabaisse sellers.....) and also changed the requirement of a 50 BSM to a 15 BSM.

80 Durability item -100% HQ with all NQ Materials - Requires 340Craft, 340Control and 359CP(Use food)

This is the most perfect rotation I've found so far, but I would make a change otherwise you can get stuck in 96-98% HQ if you don't have a truck load of control.

With 325 control I get 100% all the time, no matter what. Goods or Normals don't matter. The only problem would be getting an Excellent after Waste not, when you still don't have your Steady Hand II up. But it is an extremely rare event anyway.

Note this requires 375 CP.

I'm at 354/345/402(with best cp food). That is 22 cp left over. I'm worried that I'll be screwed if I get a Poor on a Blessing. I dont have the CP to recast Observer + ST, I can only get 3 more CP and I need 7 more. So, what can I possibly do?

You can't get a poor on a Blessing with the rotation above.

It's set up in a way so that if you get an excellent before Ingenuity, instead of using Ingenuity and doing Byregot's on a poor status what you do is just use Byregot's straight away, and THEN use Ingenuity and finish the synthesis.

Guys, what do you think about Reclaim? it is worth to level culinary to 50 for it?

It is worth it if you are using a hasty touch spam method. I am 50 gsm without many cross class except for SH2. I just recently took CUL to 50 because I had extra leves. I crafted a 2star and end up with 23% hq chance with very little cp left to finish things (I only got 1 good condition and missed about 8/12 hasty touches). I used reclaim, got mats back, and ended up reaching 100% hq on my next attempt. I use the riskier method of hasty touch, tricks of the trade, and rapid synthesis while using all of my cp to replenish durability except for keeping SH2 up. I think reclaim pairs well with rumination as you can always have that extra 50-60cp on tap if things go south.
