What is the purpose for Allagan Tin Pieces? People say to sell them to merchants but they only sell for 13 gil. I'm pretty sure there's a place where we can exchange Allagan Tin Pieces or more gil... And also, how do we get Magicteck mounts?

Magiteck mounts have to do with the story line... I won't say more cuz I don't want to ruin it.

Allagan Tin pieces are the cheapest...Bronze, Silver, etc. will sell for a lot more but they are vendor trash nonetheless to my knowledge. You get your magitek mount from doing the main quest.

The Allagan metal pieces are all purely intended for vendor selling, so don't worry about hanging onto them. They're often a "cash" alternative in quest rewards, if you don't need any of the other items.
