Tested it out with the faster sub. That tool is going to make life a lot easier, thanks.

Using an 85S/80R/85F setup, guess 80 isn't enough retrieval to give a positive-sounding results but survey/favor seems ok
I'm still new to airship/submarine management as well. What stats should I be going for in terms of maximizing profits? Buying a large house and building an airship and submarine really took a good chunk of money from my bankroll ^^
If it follows the same formula as airships you'll need at least 90 surveillance to reach the further sectors. Beyond that:
Surveillance increases your odds of finding something
Retrieval increases how much of it you get.
Favor may or may not have something to do with getting rarer mats or HQ vs NQ; I've seen people talk about it but haven't seen anything confirmed about it.
Range increases how far you go, IE more sectors per trip.
Speeds is simply how fast you make the trip.
Most profitable builds seem to focus on maximizing Surveillance and Retrieval with a Range good enough to hit multiple sectors in a trip. Speed is more of a luxury, nice but not worth sacrificing the main stats for.
Yeah the all shark build is fine for discovering sectors, you will need higher end surveillance to snag the rarer goods though from mostly Unkiu parts.
It feels kind of like Retrieval is the G3 shroud soil. It works to get more out of some of the basic plants, but the rare plants (items/materials) will only give 1 regardless. Surveillance or Favor seems to have a chance to tack additional chances on, but I don't think we know which because we're stuck with no stat info and the rng/time per trip would require years to decode it. Maybe something to ask in a live letter? Would be nice if someone from the community team could just get us that info without all the hoop jumping though.
