Ifrit is not a difficult fight if you avoid his specials.

Gear and stats are working just fine, go do a "real" fight like the stronghold NM's that aren't entirely about the gimmicks and you can easily tell.

Honestly DEF has little to do with the ifrit fight outside of his melee atks, outside of that its all magic dmg which no gear has magic def on it so melee could go bare ass if they wanted to. I imagine that he was hitting the tanks a bit harder but not by much.

LMAO...I was waiting for the reindeer suits before I suggested my LS gathered to go kill something like ifrit dressed silly. (was thinking of making our 'token Roegadyn' dress as Santa and then the army of Lalas and Kitties we seem to have dress as the deer...)

I know its a lil early but tonight me and a few linkshell mates decided to get into the christmas spirit by fighting ifrit in our santa suits. And before anyone asks yes the tank was also in the santa suit.

This begs the question is gear and stats really working???

Try it with level 1 weapons and see if you can defeat Ifrit in the same time. If yes, then stats of weapons doesn't matter.
