Moonfirefall Faire??

Just curious...

We all know the summer event will be happening soon after launch, but I'm SLIGHTLY confused... What is it actually CALLED???

In 2011 it was the Firefall Faire: http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...c8d343296f1ccd
But in 2012, it inexplicably changed to Moonfire Faire: http://lodestone.finalfantasyxiv.com...b1c214d4cee7b9

Lol, is it both? Is it officially Moonfire now? Will it change again? Why'd they change it in the first place? Was it a mistake?

Well I guess cause Dalamud was barking at the door, they changed the name to be more thematic. I suspect there is a lore related explanation that we could beat(ask nicely) out of Ferne. :3

We're definitely planning on holding another Moonfire Faire! We hope it lives up to the reputation of festivities years prior.
We also checked with the Lore team, who simply had this to say:

I thought Firefall Faire sounded better to be honest, but as long as the event is good, who cares?
