just do what I do, at 60-70% mp, I stop using RUIN II to let in non-gcd spells like fester, it's a very small dps loss, cause you are probably only missing half a second uptime every 10 seconds.

1750 is pretty low for a full buffed crit on a high end ilvl 90 character with +1, all I can say is that you probably saw this crit while missing a buff, either you missed a battlevoice or misclicked...
