Pretty obvious it's a congestion problem. Boatloads of people trying to do instances all at once, and the servers are getting killed.

If I had to guess, the thread/post limit is in response to what happened on the beta forums.

Discussions that were meaningful and thought out got buried 3 or 4 pages because of 20 different...

The info is actually botched on the "Information" page. On the JP Lodestone it lists the following:
日　時：2012年11月1日(木) 6:00より14:00頃まで

This would make the correct time for the final save...
