Updated a screen shot in the OP.
OP adjusted for clarity. As always, feedback is appreciated! :)
No problemo, I hope it helps!
I'm not sure what those two functions are, or how you determined that, but "a full percentage less cpu in the same circumstance" sounds like a positive result. To my inexperienced eye, it would seem...
lol, I'm sorry but I'm taken! Very happy to hear it helped though!
Good catch, it should be 0x75328097, like in the screenshot.
I'm in the same boat! Custom firmware and all. I can actually run all three cards at 1306MHz via custom bios, but I'm down to 1254 to ensure stability. My FPS would be more off the charts, but I'm...
Users should see improvements, even if they are not running SLi. The difference may be hard to detect, and who knows, maybe it doesn't effect TITAN. I'm running on GTX780's, which is the same...
More than likely you're set, and don't require the fix! Users with CPU's after Sandy Bridge-E, and Nvidia GPU's should already benefit from PCI-E 3.0. The test is nice to confirm you are in fact...
You're most welcome, I hope you found this guide helpful!
No worries. After you input the setting in Nvidia Inspector you need to click apply and restart FFXIV. The force PCI-E GEN3 fix requires a PC restart.
Correct on the force PCI-E GEN3, I shared the info for users that may be in that boat. Original post updated, thank you!
The Multithreaded Driver adjustment is not relegated to X79 Sandy...
Thanks for the tip, my post has been updated in full. If anyone has any suggestions for how I might improve this guide, I'm all ears.
Using the FFXIV Benchmark for testing, I went from 96 FPS with the default driver, to 119 FPS after implementing the following two tweaks.
Required Software:
GPU-Z
and
Nvidia Inspector
Well that's good news, I now suspect the problem does reside, at least in part, with Nvidia's drivers. Here's hoping for a solution!
I spent a few hours playing with SLi bits in Nvidia Inspector....
Ahh okay. Well I've noticed Transparent Lighting to normal helps with the shimmering objects, like the one you posted in your video. The senseless hit on FPS has been a problem since launch. I'm an...
Try turning transparent lighting quality to Normal.
