I tried that. If you are in combat you cannot abandon. At least that is what it said when I tried to leave a bad Garuda HM.

Would there be another way of leaving a bad dungeon or raid without shutting down the game? The restriction of not being able to leave a duty while in combat makes it rather hard to leave bad parties...

Chalk up another to this bug. Only I've manually had to go into the Processes tab and force close FFXI:ARR. Otherwise the black screen just stays there.
