Im on Tonberry which filled almost instantly and from what I've seen there couldn't be more than a thousand players overall.
Game feels dead without people running around all over the place doing...

ATM my main quest is introducing me to the various starting cities. Now should I be leaving the quests in those cities alone to level up other classes when the time comes or am i going to wind up...

You need to contact the retailer you bought the product from.

You could kick up a fair trade complaint than as they are advertising the same product for two separate prices (one would think at least). Otherwise theres the small consolation of still paying $20...
