One of the choices in FFXIV I've always been slightly disappointed in is the limit of the effectiveness(mostly all of them) of the buff/debuff skills in game.

Make sure to click that little lock below the hotbar after setting up your skills. To see skills on cooldown I just activated one of the vertical hotbars shrunk it a bit and put those abilities on...

Are you using the cross hotbar option? If you are flipping pages you are doing extra work..

Cross hotbar gives you quick access to 32 skills.

I imagine SE not banning them because they see it as the (RMT) character is spamming your linkpearl communications as opposed to some sweatshop setup of servers in Beijing with a hivemind of scripted...

You have to be pretty quick on it's use and kind of preemptively know what you want to do but it does have uses for animation clipping/glitching of skills like Doton. You can cast Doton then Shukuchi...

Using controller is not gimping yourself. The gameplay is very smooth, very competent, very usable. Nothing 'gimpish' about it.

It is community driven and we even have a RP stable so you don't miss out on that fun. Jenova great place to relocate
