The issue is your monitor is not 16:9 aspect ratio it's either 16:10 or 4:3. and you are trying to play in 720p which is 16:9.

I successfully purchased the standard edition and it is patching now. However I had bought the collectors edition before so the standard was available for purchase but not the CE.
