Did you try looking up your order, Digital River wouldn't have sent an email but your code will be on their site if you bought it from SE nA and they didn't halt your purchase.
New server upgrades this next few days. It's been said before.
You can just sell the code on ebay. And keep the box. Might I suggest you light it on fire, you seem very angry.

They open up form time to time, you'll have to keep checking. Otherwise wait for the new server upgrades coming in a couple days.

You;ve entered the EA code, you need to enter your serial number for the actual game. Where did you buy it and for what platform?
Why wouldn't you try to sell it on ebay or something, that way SE loses out on whatever that person you sell it to was gonna pay.
If it's pending when did you guys buy that particular copy? And I would only do a charge back if you plan on not keeping that account.
